We are moving to a new data center

08/16/2009 07:29

We are pleased to announce that we are moving all of our servers to a
new faster and more reliable data center. This new data center is
certified Tier III by the Uptime Institute. It is the only certified
Tier III commercial data center in the USA. You can read more about
it here http://www.onepartner.com/v3/atac_tier.html
Video tour here http://www.onepartner.com/v3/atac_video_tour.html

The Tier III level means that there is redundancy at every level from
the server all the way out to the internet. There is redundant
networking and power and cooling. Everything you can think of is
redundant.

We are currently in the early planning stages of this move. We are
doing intense planning now so that there will be as little downtime
as possible during the moving process. 95% of our clients will
experience very little downtime if any at all. We plan to do the
physical move in September. It will be done over a period of several
weeks.

We know that you may have questions about this move. If you have
questions please submit them and we will answer all of them in
another mass email to everybody.

But to ease your minds for now please be assured that we are not
selling the company nor is the management changing. Only the physical
location is changing and therefore the network infrastructure is
changing. This will bring a better, higher quality service to our
clients. We linked to the data center above so that you could get an
idea of the quality of the building in which the servers will
located. Your point of contact regarding your service will still be
us, Newwebsite.com.

But one of the problems is that all the ip addresses will change. But
again this will mean nothing to 95% of our clients. But it is
something for which we have to plan. If you use one of our ip
addresses for anything be aware that it will change sometime in
September.

What we need to know from you is if you use any custom nameservers,
that is nameservers that are not based on the newwebsite.com domain.
If you use a nameserver that is based on one of your own domains and
not ours then we will need to give you special instructions when the
time comes so that any downtime is minimized. So please tell us if
you use custom nameservers and what they are.
